Frequently Asked Questions

Both types are cut in the same direction from the donor’s head. However, Remy hair is processed as the hair cuticles are removed which increases shedding and excessive tangling.

Virgin hair is unprocessed as it has not been chemically treated or manipulated in anyway, leaving the hair cuticles damage free and intact making it more durable! Virgin hair also meets other rigorous standards including; no perming, no colouring, no bleaching and should come from a single donor (to ensure that the hair falls in the same direction).

Bulk hairs are loose strands of hair used for braiding, fusion, micro rings and knot extensions.

Like the name suggests, hand tied wefts simply means that hair is sewn onto the weft by hand using strong weaving thread. Hand tied wefts are much thinner than machine wefts because of the precision involved. Extra care must be taken when weaving and the weft must not be cut. The benefit of using hand tied wefts is that it is less undetectable in comparison to Machine wefts, which are made by using a sewing machine specifically designed to stitch. Some argue that Machine weft extensions are more durable than hand tied. We do not suggest you cut your wefts to ensure the longevity of the hair.

This is one of our most frequently asked questions. We recommend a minimum of 3 bundles of hair for a full head sew in if the lengths are between 12"-18".

However as the good hair dolls love volume, we recommend a minimum of 4 bundles for any lengths longer than 18" in order to create our signature voluminous look. Please note that curly hair extensions are naturally coarse in texture in comparison to straight and wavy hair so fewer bundles are required. Remember, what you don’t get in length, you will get it in width!

This is what we like to call our loyal hair clients.

Absolutely! All our hair extensions are versatile and can be styled as desired. This includes blow-drying and curling. Curls and waves can be restored after washing.

Yes, our Virgin hair extensions can be coloured to your preference. Just take a look at our gallery and judge for yourself! However do no note that when virgin hair is bleached, the hair is stripped of its natural moisture and so regular deep conditioning is recommended until the hair is restored back to its normal state of moisture. Excessive bleaching can damage virgin hair.

You can indeed but remember that activities such as swimming can really dry out your hair extensions, so it's advisable to wear a swimming cap to prevent this. In cases in which you cannot protect your hair, be sure to wash and deep condition it immediately to restore the moisture. Note that salty seawater and chlorine can really take its toll on your hair extensions, making it dry which can lead to tangling.

Like your natural hair, with good care and maintenance (see maintenance page) there’s no reason why your hair shouldn’t be reused over and over again and last you for years.

Bleached knots is a technique where each strand of hair is bleached and hand-tied into the lace at the base of the cap. This process is used to lighten the knots making it less detectable and more natural appearance. If the hair colour is Black, Dark Brown, Medium Brown or Brown, then knots should be bleached to give a more flawless illusion.

French Lace is stretchable, thicker and stronger making it more durable as opposed to Swiss Lace. Swiss Lace is less detectable in appearance and lighter in texture, making it more fragile and harder to maintain. Silk Lace is approximately 4 x 4 inch of silk material on the crown area. The silk material does not cover the entire wig. The Silk top material begins approximately 1 cm away from the hairline. 1 cm of French Lace is used at the hairline. We recommend using French Lace to enjoy the full longevity of your Lace Wig. However, if you're highly experienced with applying and removing your wig, you may feel more comfortable using Swiss Lace. All our Wig caps can be tinted with makeup to blend with your exact complexion.

A Stretch cap is designed using French Lace. Elastic material constructed within the lace wigs for maximum durability and elasticity. This will allow you to hold your lace wig in a high ponytail while offering an adjustable "perfect" fit.
